
ET reported that Petronet LNG Ltd will set up a INR 4,500-crore terminal at Gangavaram in Andhra Pradesh with a capacity of five million tones.
Petroleum Secretary GC Chaturvedi told reporters that after preliminary studies, the PLL board that met and gave the go-ahead for carrying out a detailed feasibility study of the proposed terminal.
Mr A K Balyan MD of PLL said that that Tracta Bel a French company, has been appointed as the consultant to undertake the study for the third Greenfield terminal.
He said that "We are eager to have our presence in the east coast. The board had considered setting up a plant in the east coast.”
Dahej in Gujarat and Kochi terminal in Kerala are the other two Greenfield terminals of the company.
