Prism Cement reported a rise of over two fold in its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30th 2009 to INR 34.97 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.

Prism Cement in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange said that its net sales of the company also rose to INR 228.40 crore in the latest quarter from INR 163.17 crore of the same quarter a year ago. For the half year ended September 30, the cement producer posted a net profit of INR 109.22 crore up by 42.72% as compared to INR 75.99 crore of the same period last fiscal.
