Prism Cement announced a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2010. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 24.71% to INR 559.00 million from INR 742.50 million in the same quarter last year.

The company’s net sales for the quarter for the quarter rose 2.66 times to INR 7,225.80 million, while total income for the quarter jumped 2.67 times to INR 7,262.60 million, when compared with the prior year period.
