Prism Cement announced that it has commenced commercial production of the 3.6 million tonnes cement project unit II at Satna Madhya Pradesh with effect from September 23rd 2010. The project has been completed in a short span of 19 months from the commencement of civil construction.

The company, at present, dispatches 3 million tonnes of cement and clinker from its existing unit I. With the expansion, the company will now be in a position to dispatch 6.6 million tonnes of cement and clinker from both the units.
