
Visakhapatnam Steel Plant along with IOCL jointly observed “Oil Conservation Fortnight” in last two weeks of January to create awareness on oil conservation to the employees working at shop floor level. The valedictory function was held at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant on 30th January 2012.
Mr R Ranjan ED (Works) was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed the need for maintaining the quality of lubricants in the equipment to increase the equipment availability. He also stressed the need for conservation be it fuel, lubricants or gas for a fast growing steel plant like VSP.
Mr Siddharth Panda state intuitional sales manager of IOCL also spoke on the occasion and appreciated efforts of RINL in conserving lubricants and oils etc. Mr PP Ganguly DGM (Lub & Hyd) I/C gave a power point presentation on Oil Conservation Activities in VSP. Prizes were distributed for departments who have contributed towards reduction in lubes consumption & used oil return. Various competitions like quiz, poster, painting & slogan were conducted for all employees and children of Ukkunagaram Schools during the fortnight and prizes were distributed to the winners on this occasion.
