Business Standard reported that employee unions of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited have decided to go on a two day strike on October 12 to 13 to protest against the government’s decision on diluting 10% stake in the company.
Mr D Adinarayana general secretary of Visakha Steel Employees Union, told Business Standard “This time, we will totally shutdown the operations. We will stop the plant for two days. It will take at least 10 days to get back to normal production and the company would lose more than INR 100 crore.”
The unions, including Visakha Steel Employees Union (recognised union), had observed a day long strike on July 24 against the move.
