Mr SS Mohanti MD of Bokaro Steel Plant met Mr Awadhesh Sharma, Tech (Pattern Maker) from the Steel Foundry & Pattern Shop, who has been selected for the prime minister's Shram Shree Award for 2010 to be given in 2011.

Apart from the citation, Mr Sharma will receive an award money of INR 40,000.

According to official sources, Mr Sharma has been chosen for the award on the basis of a number of outstanding contributions in manufacture of Formers for making Refractory Castings during Capital Repair of Blast Furnace 3 and manufacture of patterns for Scrapper Nose of Coke Ovens, Sinter Machine Exhauster Casing for Sinter Plant and Slag Cups for Blast Furnace.
