ET reported that the pavilion put up by Steel Authority of India Limited Rourkela Steel Plant bagged the 'Best Corporate Stall' award in the MSME International Trade Fair 2012.

The fair was organised by National Small Industries Corporation ltd and Department of Industries, Odisha in association with Rourkela Chamber of commerce and Industry.

A large number of industries participated in the exhibition held from January 18 to 22 at the Exhibition Ground near the Air Strip, RSP sources said today.

The pavilion put up by SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant was praised for its aesthetic as well as informative value. Panels on the production processes, products and usages, Human Resource initiatives, Corporate Social Responsibility and other activities were on display.

Audio visual presentation of the multi dimensional activities of the company and distribution of booklets and brochures to the visitors were the other highlights.

Special display of the spare parts used by the steel plant that are sourced from the local Small Scale industries was another highlight of the stall.

Besides, the industries interested to explore the possibility of supplying material to RSP were also given guidance.
