PTI reported that blast furnaces of Steel Authority of India Limited’s Rourkela Steel Plant achieved another feat by recording the best ever production for any single day.

The plant produced 7375 tonnes of hot metal thereby surpassing the previous record of 7351 tonnes of hot metal produced on October 28, 2009.

Blast Furnace No 3 also contributed significantly in achieving this feat by making 1825 tonnes of hot metal on the said day, again its best ever performance.
