
Medical check up of more than 900 people was carried out at a special health camp organised by Rourkela Steel Plant. As a part of its CSR initiatives, RSP organised the Health camp at Bisra High School under Bisra block in tribal dominated Sundargarh district over last week-end.
RSP sources said that specialists in Skin & VD, ENT, Ophthalmology and Pediatrics departments of Ispat General Hospital examined the villagers for various ailments related to eye, ear, skin and pediatric diseases. More than 900 people were examined in the camp, in which 20 persons having eye ailments were identified for further treatment at IGH under Project Sunayana and Baljyoti, 10 people with ear ailments were selected for advanced treatment under project Sushruti. It is worth mentioning here that all these patients will be provided treatment at IGH for free.
Sources added that besides, 9 persons having leprosy were identified for treatment under Project Sneha at Ispat Sanjivani. It may be recalled that on August 12 and October 21, similar Health camps were held at two tribal villages Jhunmur of Kuarmunda block and Jhara Bahal of Lathikata block in which more than 2000 people were examined. Thereafter many persons identified with various ailments received specialized interventions and surgeries at Ispat General Hospital.
