It is reported that Steel Authority of India Limited has signed memoranda of understanding with Military Engineering Services and the Married Accommodation Projectof the defense ministry for assured supply of superior grade construction steel on a regular basis for their infrastructure development.

The MoUs were signed by Mr VK Mehta ED Marketing Long Products of SAIL and Major General Brajesh Kumar MES Director General (Works), and Major General BB Sharma MAP Director General (Works), in the presence of SAIL Chairman Mr SK Roongta.

SAIL will supply mainly earthquake resistant TMT rebars which meet the stringent physical and chemical specifications of MES and MAP.
