The trade unions in Singareni Collieries Company Limited led by Telangana Singareni JAC will serve a 48 hour strike notice to the management of SCCL on February 13 to go on strike on February 22 and 23, demanding that the centre table a bill on Telangana in parliament.

According to Telangana Singareni JAC, the trade unions part of Telangana Singareni JAC, Telangana Boggugani Karmika Sangham, Indian Federation of Trade Unions, Hind Mazdoor Sangh, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh and Telangana Udyogula Sangham, will jointly serve the notices to the SCCL management.

The Singareni workers would observe work to rule as part of non cooperation from February 17 to 21 and a road blockade for a distance of 200 km in the coal belt area, from Adilabad to Khammam.

The co chairmen of Telangana Singareni JAC, the TBGKS president, Mr K Mallaiah, the IFTU vice president, Mr B Sampath Kumar, the HMS general secretary, Mr Riyaz Ahmed, Mr Bhagavan Reddy of BMS and Mr Nerati Rajaiah of Telangana Udyogula Sangham led by the chairman Md Munir, will serve the notices to the SCCL general manager (personnel) Mr Purushotham.
