Sathavahana Ispat disclosed a phenomenal rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2009. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 7.06 times to INR 62.73 million from INR 8.88 million in the same quarter previous year.

Net sales for the quarter declined 30.65% to INR 744 million while total income for the quarter fell 28.27% to INR 769.68 million when compared with the prior year period.
