Steel sector in the country is a growing sector with annual production of steel rising continuously for the past 5 years.
It is expected that the steel production capacity in the country would be around 120 million tonnes, from the current level of 72.76 million tonnes. Therefore, the scope for direct and indirect employment opportunity in India is likely to grow.
