Mr K Mohandas union shipping secretary has called upon the Marine Engineer trainees of the Cochin Shipyard Ltd to excel in their chosen career through continuous upgradation of knowledge, hard work and practising sound values.

He impressed upon the cadets their role as ambassadors of the country in their visits abroad.

Mr Mohandas was speaking at a function after reviewing the passing out function of the 24th batch of Marine Engineer Trainees. He also gave away the prizes to the cadets who excelled in various disciplines.

The Marine Engineering Training Institute of Cochin Shipyard had been imparting marine engineering training to graduate mechanical engineers since 1993.
