Shiva Cement September quarter profit up by 4pct

Shiva Cement reported a marginal rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2010. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 4.53% to INR 7.39 million from INR 7.07 million in the same quarter previous year.
The company’s net sales for the quarter for the quarter rose 8.42% to INR 137.27 million, while total income for the quarter rose 8.58% to INR 138.64 million, when compared with the prior year period.
