
Electrical equipment maker Siemens launched 10 value based products under its ’Smart’ portfolio totaling the number of such products to 20 since first launched last fiscal.
The newly launched products are targeted at a range of verticals like aviation, power distribution, building, infrastructure, healthcare, material handling, manufacturing and industrial applications.
Mr Armin Bruck MD of Siemens said that “These products are high in performance and cost-competitive, and have a very high utility value and are available at price points that a vast majority of customers can afford. Our plan is to completely localize the value chain.”
Under the Smart portfolio, which stands for simple, maintenance friendly, affordable, reliable and timely to market services, Siemens plans to launch another 10 products in next year.
