Shipping Corporation of India said it has put its vessels acquisition plan on hold.

Mr S Hajara CMD of SCI addressing shareholders at the company's annual general meeting said that the company expected a correction in ship building prices and, hence, has put its plans for acquiring vessels on hold.

He said that the company intends to pursue its plans of expansion in shipping markets through the inorganic route.
