Bloomberg reported that Sri Lanka's cabinet has approved a GBP 28.2 million credit agreement with HSBC Holdings Plc to build steel bridges on the Island.

Mr Keheliya Rambukwella, a government spokesman, said in Colombo that Sri Lanka's state run People's Bank will also lend the government GBP 6.8 million for the project to be built by Cleveland Bridge UK Limited.
