
ET reported that Sterlite Technologies has bagged two orders worth INR 225 crore from the Power Grid Corporation of India,
Sterlite Technologies in a statement said that "These contracts valued at about INR 225 crore are part of a total bank of new orders valued at about INR 450 crore that Sterlite has received since July 1st 2011.”
The orders are for manufacture and supply of power conductors. The first contract is for 765 KV double circuit Champa Raipur Pooling Station Transmission Line in Chhattisgarh.
Sterlite Technologies said the second contract is for 400 kv Kishnganj Patna Line.
The statement noted that "This transmission system is intended to evacuate power from hydroelectric generation projects in Sikkim to the Northern and Western regions of India.”
