Electrical equipment maker Stone India said that it has bagged an order worth INR 4.90 crore from Rashtriya Coach Factory of Kapurthala for supplying air springs for railway coaches.

Stone India in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange said that under the project, the company will supply air springs for 123 coach sets which will be used in Duranta Express of the Indian Railways.

The company is manufacturing equipment in collaboration with Sumitomo Electric Industries a leading supplier of such products for bullet trains in Japan.

It added that “The company expects to receive more orders for air spring during the year.”
