Two wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle India reported a 22.73% increase in sales during January, 2012, to 35,099 units.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd in a statement said that the company sold 28,598 units in the same month last year.

Commenting on the sales growth, Mr Atul Gupta vice president (sales and marketing) of SMIPL said that "The year 2012 has started well with a good response from the market for all our products. The growing customer satisfaction has led to positive word of mouth in the market."

In January this year, the company launched mass market motorcycle 'Hayate' and also introduced its 'Swish 125' scooter.
