
TATA Power India's largest integrated power company announced that its two Quality Circle teams won Gold award in ICQCC International Convention of Quality Control Circles 2012 held at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia from 14th October to 17th October 2012.
Around 250 teams from different nations had participated in this convention. The Award consisted of 3 categories single star (bronze award), two stars (Silver award) and three star (Gold award).
The title of the project submitted by TATA Power's Achiever Team was Overflow problem in cooling tower hot box. The Quality Circle winning Team members from Jojobera team are Mr Ashok Kumar, Mr Shyamal, Mr Suresh Singh, Mr Krishna Soren and QC coordinator Mr Nirmal Yadav.
The title of the project submitted by TATA Power's FIREBALL Team was More time required for starting of BPSU. The Quality Circle winning team members from Bhira team are Mr Abhijeet Patil, Mr MD Adhikari, Mr DM Wandre, Mr AL Mengde and Mr LS Ghige.
Congratulating the Achiever team, Mr Ashok Sethi CO TATA Power India said that "We are proud of our teams for their recognition at International level and hope that their accomplishment will serve as inspiration for other QC teams in the Company. This achievement is certainly a significant mile stone in our journey of continual improvement and creating value for our customers."
