
In continuation with its efforts towards environment conservation, Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd a subsidiary of TATA Power organised an environment awareness session for more than 260 school students in Vandh, Tragadi and Mudhwa villages around Kutch region.
The objective of this initiative was to spread awareness about environment conservation amongst school children and to emphasize their role in protecting it through sensitization sessions.
CGPL engaged students from standard V to VIII from various Government Schools in Vandh, Tragadi and Mudhwa villages. The students were taken through an interactive session comprising of fun-filled activities to convey the message in a simple way. The session covered wide range of topics such as energy saving, water saving, greenery development, personal hygiene practices, cleanliness of the village amongst others. Movies and audio-visual films were also shown.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Alok Kanagat executive director of CGPL said that “This initiative aims to involve school children to instill the urgent need to conserve environment through simple measures. The awareness session will help the students to further engage and positively influence their parents and society at large.”
