
Thermax Ltd has informed BSE that the Company's Water and Waste Solutions business has bagged orders for municipal sewage treatment plants worth INR 155 crore.
The orders are for 14 plants in Maharashtra and Jammu & Kashmir which once completed will treat 160 million liters per day of city sewage.
Thermax's well known FAB Technology will be used for most of the project locations, while for others SBR Technology, recently sourced through a tie-up with a German company, will be used. This will be the first time SBR technology is being deployed in sub zero temperature conditions in India.
These plants will ensure consistent treated water output, meeting Pollution Control Board norms. Economical in space utilization, by treating waste water, they will help preserve the environment.
