Timken India has announced a phenomenal rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2011.

During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 99.31% to INR 229.80 million from INR 115.30 million in the same quarter last year.

Net sales for the quarter for the quarter surged 72.87% to INR 1,652.10 million while total income for the quarter jumped 73.12% to INR 1,694.30 million when compared with the prior year period.
