
Mr Bharatsinh Solanki minister of state for railways informed the Rajya Sabha that to step up investment and implementation of railway project in North Eastern Region, a dedicated North East Region Rail Development Fund has been created.
NERRDF is a non lapsable fund with 25% contribution from Railway Gross Budgetary Support and 75% contribution from Ministry of Finance as additionality and it will be utilized for funding of National Projects in North East Region.
