Vedanta confirms it holds 9.5% of Canadian HudBay Minerals

Vedanta Resources plc the largest copper producer in India said that its units controls 9.5% of Canadian zinc and copper maker HudBay Minerals Inc.
A spokesman said that the company declined to comment further on its plans for the stake a spokesman who asked not to be identified because of company policy.
