BL reported that Zenith Birla’s net profit more than doubled to INR 4.48 crore in the quarter ended September 30th 2009 against INR 1.54 crore logged in the same period last year.

Zenith Birla’s sales were down to INR 131 crore in the quarter under review. The sharp fall in raw material helped the company improve its bottomline. Its raw material cost fell by 27% to INR 86 crore.
