
According to the data released by Argentina's chamber of steel, Argentina's crude steel output amounted to 483,700 tonnes in November 2011, falling by 4.4% MoM and up by 7.8% YoY.
In November 2011, Argentina's total hot rolled steel product output decreased by 1.3% MoM to 485,900 tonnes, while an 8.1% YoY increase was recorded, including output of 245,100 tonnes of hot rolled flat steel products, down by 1.1% MoM and 240,800 tonnes of long steel products, decreasing by 1.6% MoM.
The country's cold rolled flat steel product output in November 2011 fell by 9.5% MoM to 128,200 tonnes and down by 1.8% YoY.
On the other hand, in the first 11 months of 2011, Argentina's crude steel production totaled 5.16 million tonnes, increasing by 9.1% YoY. However, as compared to the January to November period of 2008, the country's steel production in the corresponding period of 2011 indicated a decrease of 2.3%.
