Metal Worker reported that Ausmelt will provide its metal smelting technology to a smelter modernization project in Bulgaria.

The contract with Intertrust Holding will see a second Ausmelt furnace supplied to the operations at Kurdjali in Bulgaria.

This unit will be used to process the lead smelter slag so the material will meet stringent European environmental regulations.

According to Ausmelt, its top submerged lance technology offers environmental, performance and economic advantages to metal producers.
