According to statistics, Australia exported 164,000 tonnes of scrap in August 2011, up by 9.8% YoY.

91,000 tonnes were to Thailand, soared by 202.7% YoY

Meanwhile, it is estimated that Australia's scrap exports would reach 18.53 million tonnes in 2011.
