
According to the United Kingdom's BG Group, its LNG purchase contract volumes are expected to grow to 26.7 million tonnes per year by 2015. Besides supply of LNG from existing Atlantic LNG Project, Egypt LNG Project and Equatorial Guinea LNG Project totaling 12.7 million tonnes per year, Queensland Curtis LNG Project in Australia is scheduled to go on stream in 2014. In the meantime, it is anticipated that LNG supply will begin from the United States Sabine Pass LNG Terminal in 2015.
On top of that, BG plans to buy 2.3 million tonnes per annum from train 7, which is being projected in Nigeria. When it is completed, total supply quantity from these projects to BG will amount to 29 million tonnes per annum.
On the other hand, BG reached LNG sales agreement with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation in October 2011. Including its sales contracts with China, Singapore and Japan, etc which have so far been concluded, its long term sales contract volumes have been expanded to 12.4 million tonnes per annum in total.
