
According to the data from the country's ministry of development, industry and foreign trade MDIC, Brazil's billet exports dropped by 62% MoM in November 2011 from October 2011 and also decreased by 50% YoY.
Also, the data showed that around 26,073 tonnes were shipped in November 2011, lower than 68,449 tonnes in October 2011 and 52,779 tonnes in November 2010.
Furthermore, it expected that there would be less purchase to the end year. Brazil shipped 572,718 tons of billets in January to November 2011 period, surged by about third times from the same period last year.
In the given period of time, the country shipped about 263,055 tonnes to Asia and 166,472 tonnes to Latin America.
