According to the latest data released by the Bulgarian Association of the Metallurgical Industry, Bulgaria's crude steel output rose by 16.5% YoY to 655,100 tonnes in the first 9 months of 2011.

Meanwhile, Bulgarian rolled steel production in the January to September 2011 period totaled 842,600 tonnes, up by 23.35% YoY.

In the period in question, Bulgaria exported 711,200 tonnes of its rolled steel products, up by 44.8% YoY. 63.4% of Bulgaria's rolled steel exports in the given period consisted of long products, increasing 46% YoY.
