Byelorussian steel producer Byelorussian Steel Works has announced to postpone its thin gauge steel sheet plant's construction project until 2010 to 2011.

BMZ said that the designed capacity of this thin gauge steel sheet plant is 1.2 million tonnes. Moreover, the annual capacity will be grown to become 2.5 million tonnes in the future.

The raw material of BMZ's new plant will be used by hot briquette iron and metalized agglomerate. It is expected that the construction cost will be around USD 100 billion.
