Canada Border Services Agency has concluded its re investigation of the normal values and export prices of certain steel fasteners originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China and Chinese Taipei on March 24th 2010, pursuant to the Special Import Measures Act.

The re investigation was initiated on September 24th 2009 as part of the CBSA's enforcement of the finding made by the Canadian International Trade Tribunal on January 7th 2005. On January 6th 2010, the Tribunal issued an order continuing the findings of injury with amendments.

The goods subject to the Tribunal's order, and additional product information to assist in differentiating between subject and non subject goods is provided in Appendix 1. The subject goods are usually classified under the following Harmonized System classification numbers:

At the initiation of the re investigation, the CBSA sent Requests for Information to exporters to obtain information on the costs and selling prices of subject goods and like goods. Specific normal values for future shipments have been determined for the following cooperative exporters listed below:

Subject goods originating in or exported from Chinese Taipei

Subject goods originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China

The CBSA did not initiate a re investigation of the amounts of subsidy. Therefore, the amounts of subsidy already in place will be effective for future shipments. The rates are listed below:
