The Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) and local partners are hosting a series of one day seminars in six cities across Canada in February 2012 and early March 2012 dealing with inspection of steel structures.
Oriented at owners, designers, constructors, building officials and inspection agencies, the seminars will focus on the requirements, recommendations and resources for the inspection of steel framed buildings in Canada.
The institute said that discussion will include both detailed technical requirements and methodologies for implementation, from both a production quality control and third party quality assurance inspection perspective.
Featured speaker is Mr Robert E Shaw, president of the Steel Structures Technology Center Inc, a US organization that provides consulting services, technical resources and training related to the design, fabrication, erection, inspection and quality of steel framed structures.
Seminars are scheduled to be held in Moncton (February 21st 2012), Montreal (February 22nd 2012), Toronto (February 23rd 2012), Saskatoon (February 28th 2012), Edmonton (February 29th 2012) and Vancouver (March 1st 2012).
