California Steel Industries Inc announced that Mr Harold Allin has been elected as executive vice president operations.

He succeeds Mr Toshiyuki Tamai, who was recently named president & CEO of the company. Mr Allin will assume responsibility for all operations at CSI's Fontana, California facility, including the hot rolling, finishing and pipe mills and the maintenance, quality, production planning, purchasing, engineering, shipping and traffic functions.

Mr Tamai said that "Mr Harry's extensive knowledge and experience will provide strong guidance and direction to CSI's operations as we continue to grow and improve our company."
