The Dacia Company, under the patronage of French Group Renault, announced that the production of the Dacia plant at Mioveni (southern Romania) this week exceeded the threshold of 4 million cars.

A Dacia press release said that "The Dacia car number 4 million has been delivered this week to its owner. The car number 4 million is a Dacia Duster 4X4, top version, Laureate, cashew brown color, equipped with the 1.5 dCi engine, with a 110 HP. The car has been delivered to a female customer in Romania, a 58 year old doctor."

At present, half of the 65 cars produced each hour in the plant at Mioveni are Duster, as the model has registered over 100,000 orders internationally until present.

Ever since it was launched, in March 2010, Dacia Duster became a sales leader in its sector on the Romanian market, with 4,826 units sold last year.
