Reuters reported that South Korea's Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co Limited was chosen as preferred bidder for a KRW 828 billion order to build a coal fired power plant in Nigeria.

Daewoo said in a statement that it expected to sign a formal contract with Total E&C Nigeria Limited in the first half of 2011.
