Danieli Corus has received an order from TATA Steel Strip Products UK for the supply and installation supervision for the furnace internals for the rebuild of Port Talbot Blast Furnace No 4.

The project scope includes the complete furnace refractories from the hearth to the furnace throat as well as all the copper plate coolers, tuyeres and tuyere coolers.

After the rebuild, Port Talbot Blast Furnace No 4 will be equipped with the proven and record breaking integrated cooling and lining concept as implemented at the IJmuiden Works of TATA Steel Europe and other plants around the world.
