Diana Shipping Inc, a global shipping company specializing in the ownership and operation of dry bulk vessels, announced that it has agreed to purchase from an unaffiliated third party the MV Vathy, a 2010 built Panamax dry bulk carrier of 81,297 DWT, for a price of USD 32.25 million.

The vessel, to be renamed Leto, is expected to be delivered to the Company by the sellers during the first quarter of 2012.
