Downsizing deals - ArcelorMittal Georgetown employees may return this week
Officials at the ArcelorMittal said this week that a significant number of employees will return to work this week, after being laid off for several weeks. The mill has gone through several shutdowns, due to lack of orders.
The exact number of people returning to work was not released. The reopening day for the mill was not announced.
A company spokesman said that "This week many ArcelorMittal Georgetown employees will return to the facility as the plant has resumed operations."
