Downsizing deals - Rescue package in sight for Corus TCP
Dr Vince Cable Business Secretary of UK said that he is optimistic that a GBP 29 million portion of the rescue package for the mothballed Corus steel plant on Teesside will be released.
Just over half of the GBP 60 million pledged by the previous Government to generate and bolster jobs has been allocated and spent on projects across the region.
The remaining cash has been frozen as part of the coalition Government’s comprehensive spending review
