
Local media reported that there are fears about job losses at TATA Steel in UK.
As per report, staff at TATA Steel in Corby was given a briefing on the performance of the business.
TATA employee Mr Ray Rodden, 59, told the Evening Telegraph that the meeting has left staff fearing that job cuts could be on the way.
Mr Rodden said: “I think it is a worry for the younger staff. In a sense I am one of the lucky ones.”
A TATA Steel spokesman said there were no imminent plans to cut jobs and the meetings were a routine update.
But the spokesman added: “There may well be difficult decisions that need to be taken in the future.”
