Dnevnik reported that Austrian utility E ON protests against the audit report prepared by Bulgaria's State Energy & Watchdog Regulatory Commission were on Tuesday echoed by Germany’s EVN.
E ON discovered a mismatch between the summary of the report released on July 13th 2010 and the document they received officially last week.
Mr Angel Semerdjiev chief of SEWRC pledged that the objections will be considered and the matter could go to court.
Czech CEZ said that it would come up with a stance on the audit report within a couple of days.
E ON claims that the document it received from the SEWRC contains no allegation that the company failed to invite public procurements for the selection of power suppliers. After the company announced the number of procurements it has held, the claim for a violation committed by E ON Bulgaria Networks was removed.
The document sent to E ON was also stripped of the claim that E.ON Bulgaria Networks and E ON Bulgaria Sales do not always have sufficient assets to perform their operations as required by the permits.
E ON said that "The opinion already expressed by E.ON is confirmed that most of the claims are false or rather controversial." It added that it has other remarks to make but did not want to communicate with the regulator through the media.
EVN found no discrepancies between the report summary and the document they received. However, they opposed the regulator’s view that the structures performing servicing operations should be duplicated.
Mr Semerdjiev said that there are good reasons to impose fines close to the maximum BGL 1 million on the power distributors.
