
After a 36 year career in the metals industry, Mr Philip R Morgan is retiring from Siemens Industry Inc.
In April 2008, Siemens bought the 120 year old Morgan Construction Co founded in Worcester by Mr Morgan's great great grandfather Mr Charles Hill Morgan.
Mr Philip Morgan 62 began his career with Morgan Construction in July 1974 and was named president in 1986, succeeding his father, Paul S Morgan. During his tenure, Morgan Construction became a US based, global company with the establishment of several subsidiaries around the world.
Mr Morgan also oversaw a technological revolution in the company, which enabled the production of its proprietary high speed rolling mills more efficiently and at lower cost. He graduated from Harvard University and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. He continues to serve on several boards for area nonprofit organizations.
