Last week, the European steel plate and coil market remained flat.

The ex factory prices of hot rolled coils and cold rolled coils were at EUR 505 to EUR 515 per tonne and EUR 570 to EUR 580 per tonne respectively in Northwest European market.

Meanwhile, the prices of HRC and CRC were below EUR 500 per tonne and EUR 530 to EUR 540 per tonne respectively in South European market.

It's known that Italian steel plant ILVA's production suspension helped to support the steel prices in Europe previously.

However, industry sources said that the European steel market might remain flat in the near future since resumed production will release the tight supply.
