
Feng Hsin, one of the major steel long product makers in Taiwan, has decided to cut the rebar list prices by TWD 200 per tonne to TWD 18,000 per tonne for this week.
Meanwhile, as the company already reduced the scrap price by TWD 200 per tonne in advance on September 29th 2012, it kept its scrap purchasing prices unchanged at TWD 10,400 to TWD 11,100 per tonne for this week.
At the same time, Feng Hsin announced to remain its list prices for H beams unchanged at TWD 19,900 to TWD 20,100 per tonne for this week.
Industry sources forecasted that the rebar market might remain slack in the short term due to falling prices of scrap and rebar.
